If you look at the events page for the current year and see the VIP events and prior events that I edited and posted, they look different from the photos you added. Is there any way I can make mine sharper or look like yours?
Hello! When you're working with images that you're resizing to quite a small size, you lose the original sharpness that the picture has. Most graphic editing programs offer a 'sharpen' function to combat this -- I often use that function to sharpen the image after I'm done resizing it to ensure that it looks more crisp :)
Hey Fayriesakura! I'm Emptylord, and I'm the Fandom Wiki Manager for Kim Kardashian: Hollywood Wiki. I introduced myself on your Boards, but just wanted to drop you a message personally since you're one of the more active editors around here. Basically, if you have any questions relating to the wiki, I hope to be your first point of contact.
Hello! Don't worry - if you rejected a proposal once, there's no reason your character won't be proposed to again! Marriage proposals are random, so it may take a while, though. Continue going on dates with your character's boyfriend and you'll be walking down the aisle soon enough :)
Done! Just as a head's up, you don't need to upload a new image with a different file name every time you want to update an image. There's actually a way of replacing the original image, rather than uploading a completely new one.
At the top of the page, you'll see an "Edit" link. If you click on the arrow next to "Edit", you'll see the option to "Replace". If you click on "Replace", you get to a form that lets you upload a new version of the image. You can also include a short description why a new version is needed.
I found a website that has all of the events with the clothing. I was wondering what editing app/program you use? Could you also let me know the specifics of what you do to each photo because I see you save them as png and not jpeg. Lastly during most events, when you click on the black star to see events most times the items you can get from boxes are over a white background and the ones you earn what gigs/dates/etc. are over a background of what you are doing in the game. I noticed that in the images gallery all the items are on a white background, so do you cut the background from the not box items from events?
That's great! I use Photoshop to edit all of the pictures for the Wiki, but GIMP, Canva and PicMonkey are excellent free alternatives you can use. I believe those programs also offer the option to save files in a .png format, but if not, uploading images with a .jpg/.jpeg format is also fine. I just prefer to save images as .png files, because the quality is generally less compromised.
I take screenshots of the images on my device directly within the Kustomize / closet section of the game once I've earned the item during events, which is why they all have a white background. If you're working with screenshots from older events taken directly from tapping the gold speaker, the background will be different, so you would need to edit that part out to the best of your ability.
If you're having trouble editing out the background, you can always upload the image regardless. It's always better to have an image for an event than none at all. Should better versions of the image become available, they might be replaced, but you'll still have earned Wiki points and/or badges for uploading them.
Thanks for wanting to help out and let me know if you have any more questions! :)
ETA: I've just finished adding all the images for 2019 so far. I glanced back through my screenshots and Glu only changed the background from white to transparent on event banners at the end of 2018, so if you feel so inclined you could make a start with the events for 2018? They'll be easier to edit! I'll then move onto 2017.
After taking a year long break, I just got back into the game. I was looking through my outfits in the game and had some 5 star weekend outfits that I didn't know what weekend they were from. I think I might look through your posts and edit them and add them to the events page under the date of the weekend. I am about to add this weekends clothing, after I edit them.
Thanks again for putting so much time into this wikia
Hi! It's always fun to step back into the game after such a long break, because so many things have changed. Thank you so much for your help -- any images you'd like to contribute would be more than welcome! The Events page is still a work in progress.
By the way, I noticed you moved some of the limited-time kollections back to the main Kollections page and I actually think that's a great idea; I've merged the two pages so it's just one page now!
Hello! If you can't recall whether or not something is specifically a goal or a special event, you can notice the difference when you enter the location where the goal takes place. Usually, there will be characters there you can't interact with, because they won't have yellow speech bubbles.
A little more info: Special Events are unlocked only during weekend events, so when the game shows a pop-up with specific items you can earn that weekend (e.g. for spending k-stars, or filming episodes of your reality show, or hosting parties). Usually, the weekend event is accompanied by a three or four goal arc.
